VS Code / Cline / Cursor

Editor extensions usually take the endpoint and key directly in their settings UI. This does not depend on the OS; the steps are identical on all three platforms.

One key works with every model. Your key is stored only in your own browser and is never uploaded to any server.

First, know the two API formats

Option in the extensionBase URLAvailable models
Anthropichttps://api.tokilabs.xyzClaude models
OpenAI Compatible / OpenAIhttps://api.tokilabs.xyz/v1GPT models, Claude models
Claude models support both formats. The Anthropic format gives full access to native features such as caching and extended thinking, so prefer it.

Cline / Roo Code

  1. Click the Cline icon in the sidebar and open settings (gear icon).
  2. Set API Provider to Anthropic.
  3. Enter sk-your-key as the API Key.
  4. Check Use custom base URL and enter https://api.tokilabs.xyz.
  5. Choose a Model such as claude-sonnet-5-5 and save.

Cursor

  1. Open Cursor Settings → Models.
  2. Enter sk-your-key in OpenAI API Key.
  3. Turn on Override OpenAI Base URL and enter https://api.tokilabs.xyz/v1.
  4. Click Add model to add a model name (such as gpt-6.1-sol), then click Verify.
Some Cursor features (such as Tab completion) only use Cursor's own service and do not use the custom endpoint.
